Our aim is to promote esports across the 32 counties of the island of Ireland and increase the level of awareness, improve standards and inspire future talent. We are focused on the grassroots level of esports and are not a governing body. As a not for profit organisation, Ireland Esports prime objective is to identify esports talent and to provide pathways to national and international representation.
Ireland Esports is not attempting to replace traditional sports, only to position esports as a credible activity in its own right which has a variety of cognitive, self-esteem and social benefits when done in moderation. Esports promotes teamwork, communication, develops social communities and increasingly can provide career opportunities.
Ireland Esports is committed to playing its part to educate around what esports is and the role that it will play in Ireland into the future. We are working with community organisations and education providers to embrace esports, create some inspiration events and provide pathways for career opportunities within the space.
Ireland Esports is a recognised at world level as members of the Global Esports Federation (GEF) and the International Esports Federation (IeSF) and has partnered with esports organisations and education providers.
